Luna Mahoux

Luna Mahoux is a Belgian artist, filmmaker, and curator. She graduated in Painting from La Cambre and studied at Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains, where she directed her first short documentary, The Other Queen of Memphis, exploring the legacy of rap among Black women in Memphis. The film premiered at Cinéma du Réel (Centre Pompidou) and was also shown at La Bourse du Commerce, Arsenic (carte blanche), Gessnerallee, Forde, and New York (The Metrographe). In 2024, she received two awards in Belgium for photography and filmmaking. Active in music, Luna is a DJ and producer on Rinse FM, Kiosk Radio, and Ola Radio. Her work combines archives, memory, and Afro-diasporic communities, creating immersive narratives where image, sound, and culture intersect.
