Klöntal Triennale 2017 – Part of a Moment
The Klöntal Triennale was launched by Alexandra Blättler and Sabine Rusterholz Petko in 2014 as an exhibition project in the landscape near Glarus as well as in the Kunsthaus Glarus. From May to September 2017, it will take place for the second time, again as a guest at the Kunsthaus and in several places in the Klöntal valley. This year's Triennial will focus on transient and cooperative artistic strategies. In the same vein as the title’s motto Part of a Moment, artistic glimpses appear and fade with ephemeral synchronicity. The centerpieces are three bleacher-like sculptures by Rita McBride, which are shown at the Kunsthaus. Over the course of the exhibition, a series of so-called Blind Dates will take place in the Arena Seatings (1999). Historical and current participatory artistic strategies will be discussed and acted out. These Blind Dates consist of an interdisciplinary program of events, in which various artists, authors, critics, and musicians have been invited to stage performances, discussions, readings, and concerts. The event program will be updated continuously.

Blind Date: An occasion hosted by Isabel Lewis
